Supplies needed.
Font of choice for your name and text.
I am using 2Peas Picnic Basket
Tube of  choice.
I am using Bits N Bobs Steampunk2 available at MyTubedArt .
Tube is not to be used without the correct copyright info and MyTubedArt Licence .
Mask of choice.
I am using my own Mask. BNB-M7 available here
Scrap kit A Little Goes A Long Way by Bits N Bobs available here
Scraps I am using from this kit are as follows....
Paper 7,  Elements 8, 40, 41, 48

Note
This tutorial was written in PSP 9 and uses animation shop.
Open all supplies in paintshop except the font.
Double click on your font and minimize.
Open a new image, 500 x 500 at 72 dpi.

1. Re-size your paper to 500 pixels wide,
Copy, paste as a new layer
Layers/ New mask layer/ from image,
Find your mask image of choice,
Source luminance tabbed, Invert mask data untabbed.
Ok.
Layers/ merge group.


2. Copy the close up of your tube,
paste as a new layer.
Re-size this close up layer to 300 pixels high
all layers un-tabbed.
Position to your liking.
We are going to mask this layer in a minute.
With your freehand selection tool erase the bottom
part of your tube.

Selections/ Select none.
Layers/ New mask layer/ from image,
Find your mask image of choice.
All settings the same so just click ok.
Layers/ merge group.
Layers/ Properties
Change blend mode to Luminance Legacy.
Opacity 100, Layer Visible tabbed,
Linkset 0, Highlight un-tabbed.


3. Copy element 41and paste as a new layer.
Position to your liking, Layers/ Arrange/ Send to bottom.
Layers/ Duplicate, Image/ Mirror, Image/ Flip.
Layers/ Merge/ Merge Down.

4. Activate the top layer.
Copy element 40 and paste as a new layer.
Position to the left of your close up tube.
Add a drop shadow if you want one,
I have used... V 3, H 3, O 100, B 9.0, Colour: 000000

5. Activate Element 8, Image/ Rotate/ Free rotate
All layers tabbed, Direction right, free rotate 45.
Image/ Re-size to 400 pixels wide.
Copy and paste as a new layer and position towards the bottom..
Add a drop shadow if you want one,
I have used... V 3, H 3, O 100, B 9.0, Colour: 000000

6. Copy your main tube.
Paste as a new layer,
Image/ re-size to 300 pixels high,
all layers un-tabbed.
Add a drop shadow if you want one,
I have used... V 3, H 3, O 100, B 9.0, Colour: 000000

7. Activate Element 47,
Image/ Re-size to 100 pixels high.
Image/Mirror.
With your freehand selection tool
Cut away all except the lantern.

Selections/ Select none.
Layers/ Merge/ Merge Visible
Add all your copyright info.

Save now or continue for the animation steps

8.  Layers merge, use your dodge tool with settings in screen shot  below to
 lighten the lamp area slightly ( click two or three times ) as shown in the 2nd screenshot.
Layers/ Duplicate and using your dodge tool click two or three times in the
same place as before on this 2nd layer.
Layers/ Duplicate and using your dodge tool click two or three times
 in the same place as before on this 3rd layer.

9. Activate the bottom layer.
Edit/ Copy, Open animation shop,
Edit/ Paste as a new animation.
Go back to paint shop, activate the middle layer.
Edit/ Copy, go back to animation shop,
Edit/ Paste after current frame.
Go back to paint shop, activate the top layer.
Edit/ Copy, go back to animation shop,
Edit/ Paste after current frame.
Go back to paint shop, activate the middle layer.
Edit/ Copy, go back to animation shop,
Edit/ Paste after current frame.

10. Create your name in paintshop as normal,
copy the file and paste as a new animation into animation shop.
Copy the name in animation shop, activate your animation,
edit/ select all, edit/ propogate paste, edit/ paste into
selected frame and then file/save as.
Below are my Custom Settings for saving.
Some tags may need these setting altered to your liking.
